Senior services create a community without walls

Our Lutheran ministry serves people of all faiths.

With 121 years of experience in senior services, NLCS is looking to meet the needs of the next generation while retaining its Lutheran ministry heritage and focus.

NLCS is affiliated with the Metropolitan Washington, D.C., Delaware-Maryland and Virginia Synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

The Village at Rockville and the new Village at Orchard Ridge are designed to create small town, close-knit environments for their communities. NLCS will build on its experience, providing respected nursing care, to support independent living for as long as possible with a new array of home and community based health services.

There’s a wonderful history of philanthropy that drives our ministry. The Auxiliary of The Village at Rockville and The Sarah Utermehle Society help provide resources to keep programs open to all and support our policy of never asking anyone to leave our care because of financial reasons.
